Apple cider donut muffins rolled in cinnamon sugar

Roll them in the cinnamon sugar while they're warm — it sticks way better.

How to make it

  1. Heat the oven. Set it to 350°F. Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. Mix the dry stuff. Whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a big bowl.
  3. Mix the wet stuff. In another bowl, whisk the cider, milk, egg, and melted butter.
  4. Combine and bake. Stir the wet into the dry just until mixed. Fill the cups three-quarters full and bake 18–20 minutes.
  5. Sugar-coat them. While warm, brush each muffin with melted butter and roll in the cinnamon sugar.
