A toothpick with moist crumbs means the brownies are fudgy instead of overbaked.
How to make them
- Heat the oven. Use the temperature on the brownie box, usually 350°F. Line a 9 × 13-inch pan with parchment or grease it.
- Mix the brownies using the directions on the box, then fold in the chocolate chips.
- Bake them. Spread the batter in the pan and bake for about 22–25 minutes, or the time on the box, until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Cool for 15 minutes, then cut into 12 bars.
- Build the sundaes. Serve the bars warm with a scoop of ice cream, hot fudge drizzled over the top and whipped cream if you're feeling it.
