Spread the chips in one layer so every one gets beef and melted cheese.
How to make it
- Heat the oven to 400°F.
- Cook the beef. Brown it in a large skillet for 8–10 minutes, then drain the grease. Stir in the taco seasoning with a splash of water.
- Spread out the chips. Put them in a single layer on the sheet pan.
- Add the hot toppings. Spoon the seasoned beef over the chips and cover everything with shredded cheese.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Finish the nachos. Add the tomato, jalapeños, green onions, sour cream and salsa, then serve right away.
Load every chip
Use one layer of chips so the toppings don't all land on the ones at the top.
Best served fresh
These are best hot from the oven, before the chips start to soften.
