Pulled pork sandwich with BBQ sauce and coleslaw on a soft bun

Don't lift the lid while it cooks — every peek adds cook time.

How to make it

  1. Season the pork. Rub the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, and salt all over the pork roast.
  2. Slow cook. Put it in the crockpot, cover, and cook on low 8 hours until it shreds easily.
  3. Shred it. Move the pork to a cutting board and pull it apart with two forks. Toss the bone and any big fat pieces.
  4. Sauce it. Put the shredded pork back in the crockpot and stir in the BBQ sauce.
  5. Build sandwiches. Pile pork on buns, add more BBQ sauce and a scoop of coleslaw if you want.
