Tater tot nachos loaded with taco beef, melted cheese, sour cream and jalapeños

Bake the tots extra crispy — they hold up way better under the toppings.

How to make it

  1. Crisp the tots. Spread the tater tots on a lined baking sheet and bake per the bag until deep golden and crispy.
  2. Cook the beef. While they bake, brown the ground beef in a skillet, drain the fat, and stir in the taco seasoning with a splash of water.
  3. Pile it on. Spoon the taco beef over the hot tots and cover everything with shredded cheese.
  4. Melt. Bake 5 more minutes until the cheese is melted.
  5. Top it. Dollop with sour cream, spoon on salsa, and add jalapeños if you like heat. Serve right away.
